Rocket City Rock Crawlers 4 Wheel Drive Club is located
in Huntsville, Alabama and is open to all four wheel drive vehicles (no ATVs).
Our mailing address is PO Box 576 Madison, AL 35758
The club meets on the first Thursday
of
each month at 7:00 pm. We have outgrown our longstanding meeting place
and will be moving our meeting location to Golden Rule BBQ in
Madison until we find a more permanent spot.
Here's where its located.
The club has a trail ride each month and we try to swap out easy and hard
rides so everyone can have fun. Yearly dues are $65, collected in January of each
year. A portion of the yearly dues are sent to Southern Four Wheel Drive Association
and United 4 Wheel Drive Association, so by joining Rocket City, you also become members
of Southern 4WDA and
United
4WDA. Members of Rocket City Rock Crawlers receive newsletters from Southern and United on a
quarterly basis.
RCRC is a member of the
Madison County Volunteer Organizations Active in Disasters (VOAD). As
part of this membership, RCRC will respond as requested by VOAD to help the
local community recover from disasters. This response includes but is not
limited to transporting critical personnel and supplies during adverse
weather or road conditions, emergency communications and other 4x4 related
emergency responses. In addition, many club members have been Community
Emergency Response Team (CERT) trained.
Interested applicants have to attend (2) monthly club meetings as well as
go on (2) trail rides before the club votes on a membership. Dues are collected after the
vote.
